I was research supervisor of Suman Kasturi, who was awarded Ph.D by Acharya Nagarjuna University in the year2013. Suman Kasturi is a committed researcher and has passion for academics. He is one of those rare scholars whose research pursuit continued more energetically after obtaining Ph.D With his undaunting sprit for research, he published 11 books, chapters in 4 edited books, articles, continuous articles on contemporary topics. Now, is his latest work “The Guided Missile - Memoirs of an Air Warrior” is a wonderful exposition of his life and adventures while serving in Indian Airforce. Given the passion he has, I am sure Suman Kasturi will contribute further in the fields of communication, peace journalism and other contemporary relevant areas. I wish him a bright future.
Dr. Kasturi has written eleven books, many of which deal with communication or military topics, and all of which show the same breadth of knowledge and subtlety of thought that characterize his work. One of the most impressive things about Dr. Kasturi, to my mind, is his astonishing work ethic. He is married and has two sons, and continues his military career and has the medals to prove it, and he has more master’s degrees than anyone I have ever known. He is a true polymath, and has an extraordinary breadth of knowledge. In addition to all this, Dr. Kasturi writes a weekly column for the Hans India newspaper. And yet, while continuing his studies, while serving his nation with valor, he writes books and raises a family.

Dr Suman Kasturi is a multifaceted young scholar who is committed whole heartedly in creating media literature and the number of books are increasing every year. An air veteran, Dr Suman is a passionate writer and has a keen sense of observation and translating it as art form and his recent book speaks volumes of it. He is an inspiration and role model for young academics to emulate. God be with him in all his endeavours.
Dr. Suman K Kasturi is a brilliant researcher and writer having knowledge on various aspects.. His quest for acquiring new knowledge made him genius.. He is multifaceted. Social Media, Public Relations, Peace Journalism, Defense and war are his interesting areas of expertise.. I read all his books and found utmost satisfaction.. Most of his dream projects made him "popular" in the country.. I wish that he will be internationally famous through his writings soon..
Dr Suman Kasturi, a multi-dimensional personality. An intellectual who attained qualifications in approx ten subjects and with his intellectualism, he has served the nation by being an energetic Indian Air Force officer. He has also contributed a lot to the social issues as well through his expertise into journalism. At present, he is associated to the Bank services and is absolutely active in the research activities upon various dimensions of media. Through his logical, analytical and explanatory abilities he has made remarkable contributions to the field of media academics and it’s a firm belief of mine that all these attributes of his personality are definitely going to encourage and motivate the young generation at the highest level.

I know Dr. Suman in the capacity of foreword writer to his book on Broadcast Journalism! He has presented a volume that is a concise yet in-depth approach to the electronic media and frame it within the Indian experience. As such, it affords the reader—whether a student, postgraduate, or simply an interested individual—with the background to understand, create, and produce a number of stories in audio, visual, audiovisual formats. Given the way the world has emerged as a global village, this book provides the background to become an effective producer of “owned” media in the current world of professional and social media.
Dr. Kasturi has prepared very useful and interesting textbooks and reference books, which gives clear understanding of how traditional media can survive and the new media have evolved.
